From the Chamber
AND BEYOND!
Greetings humans and all that walk the earth! For this month we had 182 calls,
12 local visitors, 11 visitors from out of town (TX, MI, WA, NV), and sent out
two relocation guides (FL and OK).June was another busy month with plenty of
Chamber and community events! Jessica Sanders day was the first big event of the
month and was a come and go, meet and great event. Jessica Sanders was awarded
the Teacher of the Year Award and was honored by all of us at the Chamber, the
Snowberger Children’s Foundation, and Krumland Auto Group. Next, we had our
last Mornings with the Mayor Event for the Summer. Plenty of people attended this event and was a pleasant
time of Q&A with the Mayor.
We then hosted our second Sheriff Social Luncheon. It was another full house and McDonald’s, again, provided
a great lunch for everyone! The day wasn’t over however, we had two more events to attend. The Chamber,
along with our great Redcoats, attended the Dominos Check Presentation to the Fire Fighters and later that
day attended Business After Hours at United Blood Services, which had amazing food and door prizes. Another
great event to support the Fire Fighters took place the weekend of the 22nd. You may have noticed that
day there was an unusual amount motorcycles riding all over town. Well, that was for the first ever Hellfire
Motorcycle Ride! Motorcycle enthusiasts and riders came out and took place in a ride all over Roswell to all the
difference fire stations, where they were given refreshments and a chance to meet each of stations fire fighters.
There were over one-hundred riders for this event!
The month ended with two Ribbon Cuttings, one at
Hunton Insurance who celebrated 17 years and the
other at La Sierra BBQ, who is brand new to our area,
as well as two more events in support of the Fire
Fighters, one at McDonalds and the other at Big-O-
Tire. This month has amazed me with the amount of
support that we have shown to our first responders,
more specifically the fire fighters. They are willing
to help us when we are in need and it has been great
to see the community give to them because they
are in need. Its things like this that truly makes our
community strong! June was a fantastic month and we
look forward to what July will bring… even if its from
out of this world.
As always,
to the chamber and
Beyond!
