From the Chamber AND BEYOND!

Greetings people who are all too full of Thanksgiving Turkey to move a muscle (including
me). November was a fantastic month full of fun events and touching holiday time.
November was also a good month for calls and local visitors. We had on average about 134
calls (5 out of town and 1 relocating), 7 local visitors (interested in upcoming events), and
three packages mailed out (one to a school, one to Texas, and one to Taos, NM).

We kicked off the month with our Annual Tailgate party with lots off food, fun, and prizes!
Next, we had our Veterans Day Parade to honor all those who served in World War 1. This
was a great day of remembrance and respect for all who have served and are serving in the
military. If you are a veteran or are currently active in the military and are reading this, you
have my personal thanks for everything that you do for this country. The week that followed Veterans Day was a busy
one with Recoat events, Mornings with the Mayor, and The Tobosa 40th Anniversary Gala featuring Grammy-Award
         Winning Recording Artist Rick Trevino!

After that, a familiar anticipation. The anticipation for the delicious, delectable, rich taste of an oven baked turkey! The
time seemed to go by like molasses just waiting to get that first nibble of the juicy turkey. Then all the sudden, DING!
The turkey was finished. Tasting it, we remember first how great it tastes, but also what we are truly thankful for in life. I
don’t say this to be cliché, but to truly reflect on the blessings we have in life. Personally, I want to be thankful for all the
blessings I have, but also willing to share my blessings with others. Thanksgiving was a good time to spend with loved
ones, but also a time to look inward at what you have, and what you can give.

I hope that all of you had a blessed Thanksgiving.

As always, to the chamber and Beyond! - Ryan Verciglio
