Executive Director's Letter

November -

My favorite month of the year, not because it’s my birthday month, oh no, that’s not why!

November means so much more: it’s the month we are all celebrating our
blessings and sharing with the world how truly blessed we are via social media;
which, of course, shouldn’t be limited to just November.

November, to me, is when I truly see God’s everlasting love reveal itself by
the turning of the trees and all things green to show off their real, true inner
beauty. We can enjoy the brisk mornings, cool and windy days and a crackling
fire on a chilly night. Homes and businesses are decorated with pumpkins,
chrysanthemums and dried corn stalks with a little ornery scarecrow standing so

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR humbly proud in the mix of all the beautiful colors! Soon, we will be having family
gatherings to plan the Thanksgiving dinner. The women will be shopping all the Holiday Craft shows and local
businesses will be offering cocoa when you come in to shop their stores. You can find the men of the house home
eating leftovers and watching football or playing catch in the yard with the young ones!

I think of our Veterans and how none of this would
be possible without the sacrifices they all made to
defend our freedom, and may I never take that for
granted! This week, Oct, 30 through Nov. 3, is the
SBA (Small Business Administration) Celebrates
National Veterans Small Business Week. I personally
think this should be celebrated every week. On
behalf of the Chamber we proudly support all our
Veterans and their businesses. Starting November
1 and throughout the entire month we will be
offering all Veteran Owned Businesses the Veteran
Appreciation Membership. We want nothing more
than to help our Veterans succeed and if we can help
by offering our services then we all win! Contact
the Chamber for more details or to schedule an
appointment, we will gladly meet with you.
