Executive Director's Letter

On a Positive Note….

We are one month into 2019 and what can I say, It’s off to a great start!

We are definitely not idle or sitting around twiddling our fingers…. This year we
kicked off 2019 with Your Chamber Connection and hosted our first Membership
Campaign. And, let me tell you what an event that was! Of course, with our first
event, we experienced a few little hiccups, nothing out of the ordinary though, we
persevered and pulled off a successful event. Many thanks to some amazing people
who volunteered their time and expressed their love of this great community and
their support for their local Roswell Chamber. We were able to get the word out and
what our mission is and how we live by that daily.

Fe participating in Networking events and promoting our wonderful city, I had the
awesome privilege to spend a few days with fellow Executives and learn what other Chambers are doing in our state
and addressing Legislative topics. I had the opportunity to attend the Chaves County EDC legislative dinner, and I must
say John and Tawnie did an excellent job promoting all the wonderful things happening in Roswell and Chaves County,
such an exciting time for Roswellians!! And, last for the month, The Roswell Chamber of Commerce was in full force
and represented Roswell again at the Annual Legislative Reception with the Leadership Roswell class where, of course,
we were the most sought-after booth again this year! I truly appreciate the Redcoats for attending and representing
Roswell and Chaves County so magnificently!

We have confirmed our Annual Rise with Roswell Speakers, the Peterson Brothers!! You won’t want to miss this
fun-filled early event on March 21st! Please see full flyer on this event. It’s a little early but will definitely be worth

If you think we’re going to rest the following day, you are wrong!! We are so excited to have Mr. Glenn Shepard in
the flesh here in Roswell at the Roswell Chamber! He will be here to talk on “Be the Manager Other Managers Envy
and Bosses Can’t Wait to Reward”. There will be a limited number of seats so act early and RSVP. Stay tuned for more
information and all the details.

We are doing everything but keeping still! In February, we will kick off our Membership 101: Love & Learn class. This
is for ANYONE that is a member or that might be interested in joining the Chamber. We will speak on the advertising
and networking benefits the Chamber has to offer your business. Our lovely, Kristina Urquides will help you utilize your
Chamber benefits and get you plugged in. Look in tis months Chamber Connection for more information on that event.

I would like to also encourage everyone that has Facebook or Instagram or any other social media platform, look up
YOUR Roswell Chamber of Commerce and like us, follow us and attend our events.
